Welcome to Craqt Academy. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Craqt Academy platform at academy.craqt.com (the "Service"), operated by Craqt ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service.
2. Courses and Content
Courses, lessons, assignments, and other learning materials on the Service are owned by Craqt or our instructors and are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, resell, redistribute, or publicly share course content without written permission.
Content you submit (assignment submissions, reviews, messages) remains yours. By submitting it, you grant us a licence to store, display, and process it as needed to operate the Service — for example, so instructors can review and grade your work.
3. Payments and Enrollment
Some courses are free; others require payment. Prices are shown at checkout in the listed currency. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers; we do not store your card or mobile-money details. Access to paid courses is granted once your payment is confirmed.
If a payment is refunded or reversed, the related course access is revoked. If you believe you were charged in error or want to request a refund, contact us at info@craqt.com and we will review it.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: share your account to give others course access; attempt to bypass payment or access controls; upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content; interfere with the operation of the Service (including the code-execution sandbox); or harvest data about other users.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. Certificates
Certificates of completion confirm that the named account completed a course's requirements. They are not accredited academic qualifications unless explicitly stated.
6. Availability and Changes
We work to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, add, or remove features or content. If we discontinue a paid course you are actively enrolled in, we will make reasonable efforts to provide continued access to its materials or an appropriate remedy.
7. Disclaimer and Liability
The Service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Uganda unless applicable law requires otherwise.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and, for material changes, notify you by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
